Stories from the city.

I'm finally done with the typing of the minutes for the Worldview Exco meeting. I can be a tad bit anal at times; that's my perfectionist side rearing its head. Sometimes I think I have a bipolar disorder or something. Ha.

I thought this American vintage ad from the 1950s was super cute! Anyway, I had an awesome Saturday yesterday, although I had to wake up at 7.30am, with only 5 hours of sleep from the previous night. I was trying to rack my brains to complete the Primary school music drill format, and like Jiamin aptly puts it, ' I was hearing Jesus, You Are My Best Friend in my sleep!'

That said, I'm eternally grateful for Jiamin because I seriously suck at drill, and ain't gifted in the music area so I can't count beats and bars for nuts. Even if I thought I could, it'd most probably be all wrong. We sat at the bamboo courtyard for 2 hours, until 1.30pm trying to figure out steps to fill up 2 minutes worth of chorus and verses. I pray that I don't teach the girls the wrong thing on Wednesday, and that drill session had better be more than productive!

F5, Claire, Meixi, Hang and I had our yearly CNY tradition of visiting our MG teachers at their houses yesterday afternoon. Although I could only stay for an hour at Mrs Lim's house, it was great seeing everyone again, especially F5 and Claire; I didn't get a chance to see Meixi though.

Had best friend quality time with Sam later, at a cosy coffee joint in town, Far Coast. They have uber cool deco and funky music, and we were getting inspiration from there to deco Sam's new room. I'm so psyched up to plan her birthday party with her, and shop/deco for her room!

We walked around in town, and there were preperations for Chingay later at night. We didn't buy the tickets but we could still soak up the festive, carnival-like atmosphere along Orchard! We had a mad time during the Chingay post-party on the streets!

We had a AA3 CNY class gathering at Glasshouse Fish&Co, and our Indian classmate, Rekha's house on the 20th! How ironic is that, considering that it's Chinese New Year. I love my multi-racial class!

(Obviously not everyone turned up. Still all of us look uber happy to see each other again in the above photo! One final time before 2nd March! :S)

More photos from the class gathering the next time.

I'm going to treat my family dinner at Sakae Sushi later. :)
